The 2019 GMC Acadia full-size SUV comes for the most part unchanged since the last time. Offering a reasonable fuel economy as well as three-row arrangement, plus healthy towing capabilities, the Acadia seems quite the promising vehicle.
Also, it features one of the most spacious interiors in the segment, which is nothing to sneeze at. It comes offered in three basic trims: SLE, SLT and Denali. The SLE and SLT are further subdivided into SLE-1, SLE-2, SLT-1 and SLT-2 trims.
Exterior and Interior
The 2019 GMC Acadia sports a distinct styling with its bold lines and confident stance. The tall fascias comes with signature lighting featuring headlamps, tail lamps and fog lamps.
Standard projector-beam headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and automatic headlamps are well integrated in the front, while halogen fog lamps with projector technology help reduce glare and improve visibility in foggy conditions. Around back, the Acadia features a wraparound rear glass giving the model a clean and seamless look.
The comfortable interior offers front seats that are spacious and supportive. The third row is roomy enough even for adult passengers. The cargo space is quite impressive for the class. Even with the third-row seats in place, it can accommodate more luggage than most rivals.
Standard features include a USB port, Bluetooth phone connectivity, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors and a touch-screen audio system with satellite radio.
Optional features are as long as your arm, including, among others, leather seats, a rear-seat entertainment system, tri-zone automatic climate control, a 10-speaker Bose stereo system, navigation, leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, a dual-panel sunroof.
Also, GMC made available the optional GMC’s IntelliLink infotainment system, lane departure warning, forward collision alert, rear cross traffic alert and side blind zone alert.
The 2019 GMC Acadia comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine. In the Denali it delivers 288 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque, while in the SLE and SLT trims it generates 281 hp and 266 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic and front-wheel drive are standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.
The powertrain makes the SUV accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 8.6 seconds. The Acadia can tow up to 5,200 pounds. The EPA estimates a front-drive Acadia will return 19 mpg combined. All-wheel-drive Acadias also get 19 mpg combined.
2019 GMC Acadia Price
The 2019 GMC Acadia will probably be priced from $34,175 before options and climbs to $49,890 for the all-wheel-drive Denali.
