2020 Lincoln MKX

2020 Lincoln MKX review

It is hard to say this, but 2020 Lincoln MKX actually do not exist. The manufacturer actually replaced this model with Nautilus last year, and according to the knowers, it should remain the same with this version, too. Even though the very first model was showed in 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show, many things have happened since then. It is for sure that we will see a model close to Navigator, but the name of the model is still unknown, or at least the possible change in name.

Exterior

The fans will surely recognize the design of Ford Edge in 2020 Lincoln MKX, but let us say that it is very attractive and handsome look of the car. The front end has a famous Lincoln sedan’s shape, with the large squared front end and mesh grille in front of it. The cubic shape of the front end supports large LED lights on the sides and wide but flat bottom of the front end. The rear end is more like on others SUVs on the market, with a rounded shape and wide spoiler on the rear window. There are no surprises when it comes to the lights, either. However, the manufacturer has prepared a new color line for this model, including new shadows of the green and gray. The aluminum accents are expected in higher trims, too.

Interior

The fans and buyers could be disappointed with the design of the cabin in 2020 Lincoln MKX, mostly because of the poor center stack and few details. Made of black plastic, the design of the cabin looks a little cheap, with large and not much functional knobs and buttons. On the other hand, the equipment is above the class. There is a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, with the 19-speaker audio system and even 22-way front seats. Along with that comes improved adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitors, and automatic emergency braking. Standard model comes with start-stop function and active safety system and driving assistant system.

Engine

The base model of 2020 Lincoln MKX should have a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 245 horsepower of strength. This is the same model that came in MKX before. The higher trim has 3.7-liter V6 that is more fuel-efficient but not that strong as we expect. Finally, the most exciting engine for this vehicle is 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that is offered in higher trims in Nautilus and former MKX model. This engine has amazing 335 horsepower of strength and 380 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission that comes with this model is eight-speed automatic one.

2020 Lincoln MKX Release Date and Price

There is no reason for drastic increasing the price for 2020 Lincoln MKX since the last model had almost the same features as this version. Since the Nautilus last year cost around $40,000 for the base model there are high chances that the price of the new model cost the same. The highest price was $60,000 with all equipment, Black Label trim, twin-turbocharged 2.7-liter engine, and all-wheel driving system.
