Three trim levels will be offered-SL, SLE and SLT, as well as three configurations and two body styles with either two or four doors. 2018 GMC Canyon can accommodate up to five passengers.

Yes, there are certain similarities of 2018 GMC Canyon and Sierra, in terms of exterior design. Both vehicles are robust at first glance. At the front fascia recognizable massive three-bar grille and rectangular LED daytime running headlights makes the first impression. Pronounced wheel arches add some curves in quite smooth surfaces. Rectangular tail side is equipped with EZ Lift-and Lower function enables easier opening and closing of the tailgate. Engine
Under the hood of GMC Canyon we might expect three engine options. Baseline will be a standard 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine powered by gasoline. This one is capable of 200 hp and 191 lb-ft of torque and it will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a RWD or AWD, while you might require a six-speed manual with 2WD. If you prefer more powerful engine, you might find 3.6 liter V6 interesting, since it can cope with a maximum 7,000 pounds tow capacity. This one has capacity to produce 305 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. Also gasoline powered as previous one, this motor is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Yet, if your choice is a diesel engine, there will be a 2.8 liter Duramax four-cylinder turbodiesel. This one has output of 200 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque and will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
EPA estimations go from 17-19 mpg in the city to 24-26 mpg on the highway, but those figures vary depending on wheel drive system and transmission type.
