2020 Dodge Journey is upgraded and redesigned SUV version made in a famous factory and according to all we know so far, not much wanted in past few years. We have reasons to believe that this is actually the last version of it before the manufacturer finally withdraw it from the market.
Exterior
Although 2020 Dodge Journey on spy photos looks familiar and similar to the famous models, like Nissan Pathfinder, we do not expect so much modernity and attractiveness in this car. It has a strong and massive front end and obvious squared shape of the nose, but we are not sure if there will be attractive details when protection is removed. The rear end looks cubic and large, which increases the size of the cargo space, but we were not being able to see lights and shape of the bumpers under the thick protection. The car is surely great and large, but not much better than other models in class.
Interior
The cabin is made to be as comfortable as well modern and attractive, but 2020 Dodge Journey has not so much to offer in technology. There are usually things for this class, including 8-inch touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard, along with the small infotainment 4.3-inch behind the wheel. There is also a great safety system and many driving assistant devices. The cabin also has great sound and audio system and zone automatic climate control. Other things, like Bluetooth that are standard for this class, in Journey come only as optional in higher trims.
Engine
The manufacturer obviously has decided to offer two engines in 2020 Dodge Journey for every possible type of buyers. The first model is very small and we can say weak 1.4-liter petrol unit that produces only 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. Both are very small numbers for the SUV, but the vehicle has great fuel economy – even 19/25 mpg. This engine comes matched with the four-speed automatic transmission. Fortunately, there is a stronger, 3.5-liter V6 petrol model that produces 283 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. However, this engine has almost the same fuel economy and comes with the six-speed automatic transmission.
2020 Dodge Journey Release Date and Price
If something will attract buyers to consider shopping this interesting small SUV it is the price of only $26,000 for the base model. It sure beats the competition in this class. On the other hand, there are no so many things to be competitive besides the price of the car. However, keep in mind that this model will surely be withdrawn from the market in two or three years from now, due to very poor sales and strong competition.
