Exterior
When it comes to exterior of the 2019 Ford Atlas, experts would probably say that it will come as a kind of futuristic F-150 model. The F-150 has definitely been a great success and the new Atlas will acquire many of its features. However, it will get some redesigned and innovative ones as well. This full-size pickup can also be considered a serious competition to models such as the GMC Sierra and the Chevrolet Silverado. First of all, the new Atlas may look boxy and square in the front part, but it will certainly come with an improved aerodynamics. In the front fascia, you will notice a large new radiator grille with rimmed shutters. These shutters have the ability to open at slow speeds or in hot weather and close at greater speeds. Another feature that benefits the aerodynamics is the retractable spoiler. All of these will also improve the acceleration, fuel consumption and the total performance of the new Ford Atlas. You can expect full-LED lighting, even in bed and the pickup is expected to be standing on 22-inch chrome wheels.
Interior
The interior of the 2019 Ford Atlas will provide everything you expect from the next-generation pickup like this. The cabin will perfectly accommodate up to five passengers and the rear seat passengers will get more space. They will also get their own monitors and forms of entertainment, at least based on what we have been informed. The seats will be covered in leather and offer the options such as heating, cooling and massage. They will also be perfectly comfortable and electronically adjustable. When it comes to technology, the new Atlas will get the latest SYNC 3 infotainment system. Safety systems and driver assist features, such as airbags, 360-degree camera and lane keeping assist, will not be left out either. In fact, the new Atlas will get Dynamic Hitch assist, a device that makes the maneuvering easy and another, known as Pro Trailer Backup assist.
Engine
A standard model of the 2019 Ford Atlas will probably come with a 3.5-liter V6 engine. This engine is expected to deliver up to 370 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, but this information has not been confirmed yet. The engine will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. It has also been said that the new Atlas will take 8.1 seconds to hit 60 mph.
2019 Ford Atlas Release Date and Price
The release date of the new Ford Atlas has not been confirmed, but it will hit the showrooms as a 2019 model. The price range of the 2019 Atlas starts from $21,000 and goes up to $51,000.
