2020 Ford Kuga

2020 Ford Kuga

2020 Ford Kuga comes as redesigned and fully changed model for US and European market. We concluded that after last test driving where the car was driven covered and obviously changed in many details and parts. Unfortunately, we were not being able to see every possible spot, since the model was fully covered by camouflage, but we saw changes in shape and design of the car, which was enough for now. We also have reasons to expect novelties in the engine.

Exterior

2020 Ford Kuga side

The design of 2020 Ford Kuga is obviously slightly changed, as we saw on test driving. There is the longer base of the model, presuming bigger cabin. It is obvious that the manufacturer aimed to make the model closer to Toyota RAV4, mostly with the design of the ends. There are also changed front lights, on the sides of the obviously wider grille and more squared bumper. The rear end is changed the most. It has rounded shape of the trunk door and lowered exhausts on the sides of it. Lights were not being visible; however, they surely have different position and dimensions.

Interior

2020 Ford Kuga interior

It was not possible to see or even presume the possible changes in the cabin of 2020 Ford Kuga on test driving, as it is not visible on spy photos either. However, we expect the same level of comfort and luxury, along with the modern technology that the manufacturer usually uses. Thanks to the longer base of the model the cabin could get more space on the rear row, or maybe a model with seven seats.

Engine

There are few interesting resolutions when it comes to the engine in 2020 Ford Kuga. The base model should have the same model as the current model. It is 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine with 120 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. There should be offered a stronger, diesel model 2.0-liter that produces 180 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. Finally, the most interesting, we believe, for the future buyers, will be a possible hybrid engine that Ford announced, but not detailed yet. As we saw on spy photos, there are sticky wires that presume to test the new engine, so definitely expect novelties in this field. Current engines come as front and all-wheel driving models.

2020 Ford Kuga Release Date and Price

2020 Ford Kuga comes in the middle of the next year, firstly on the European market. When it shows up in the US, the name that it will bring will be “Escape”. However, the price is not much changed from the last model. The base model should cost around $26,000, while the highest trim version should be around $40,000. If you choose a hybrid engine, that will be around $30,000.
